The Furniture Of My Dreams: Nor Cal Vibes from James Perse

Furniture shopping has been a bit of a hobby for me since I was decking out apartments on two coasts a couple of years ago.  I think that my love for fashion tends to leak over into my love for interiors.  I think that a person's aesthetic carries from their closet to their home.  When I started shopping for furniture for my NYC apt, my beach house in Southern California and my apartment in Hollywood, I was shocked by the lack of interesting and chic furniture options available.  Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, CB2, West Elm all where too generic and horribly made to fit my tastes.  And when I started asking around to my friends, everything they had furniture wise that was special, they had custom made.  While I love custom made furniture, I just didn't have the time or energy to go that custom route with a constant traveling schedule.  One day when I was shopping for a client, I stumbled into the James Perse store to buy some tees and I saw his furniture line.  I was immediately in love with it, especially the Nor Cal collection I have featured here.  My wants when it comes to furniture are simple: Chic & Comfortable.  And James Perse furniture fits the bill. The white makes me a bit nervous because I am messy and love red wine and chocolate too things that can easily ruin a gorgeous white canvas couch.  So I am having this collection made in a light grey.  Check out all of the James Perse furniture, it's stunning and one of my favorite furniture lines on earth.
